Salvation

The Good News

Scripture tells us that every one of us needs rescue—not self-improvement, not a spiritual tune-up, but a Savior (Romans 3:23). And the good news is that God has already provided everything we need through Jesus Christ. Salvation isn’t about trying harder or doing better—it’s about receiving the gift God freely offers. It’s about turning from sin, trusting in Jesus’ finished work on the cross, and stepping into a new life marked by grace, hope, and transformation. When we’re saved, we aren’t just forgiven—we’re made new (2 Corinthians 5:17). We become children of God, welcomed into His family, given a purpose, and invited into a relationship that changes everything.

What is salvation?

Salvation is God’s free gift of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ. It is not earned by good works, but received by grace. Here, discover what the Bible says about being saved, forgiven, and made new.

Why do we need salvation?

  • All have sinned and fall short of God’s perfect standard (Romans 3:23).
  • The consequence of sin is separation from God—both now and forever (Romans 6:23).
  • But God, in His love, made a way for us to be reconciled.

How Are We Saved?

  1. Recognize your need for a Savior.
  2. Believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose again (Romans 10:9).
  3. Confess Jesus as Lord and turn from sin (repentance).
  4. Receive His forgiveness and the gift of the Holy Spirit.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16 (NIV)

What Happens When You Are Saved?

  • Your sins are forgiven (1 John 1:9).
  • You become a child of God (John 1:12).
  • You receive eternal life and the promise of heaven (John 10:28).
  • The Holy Spirit begins to transform your life from the inside out.
